Rebecca is a Principal and Lighting Design Director with over twenty years of experience working in New York City and Toronto. With a Master’s Degree in Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, her specialized education and passion for art and design offer a unique blend of technical skills and design sensitivity that bridge the gap between art and science.
Rebecca’s impressive international portfolio includes high-end retail, commercial, institutional, residential and healthcare projects such as the Samsung Experience Store, Ryerson University Student Learning Centre*, Walt Disney Family Museum* (San Francisco), Gucci Fifth Avenue* (New York),and the City Garden* (St. Louis).
She is also the proud recipient of numerous lighting awards, including the 2014 IES IIDA Special Citation and Award of Merit for the Mariinsky Theatre* in St. Petersburg, Russia and the 2007 IES IIDA Award of Excellence for the Georgia Aquarium* in Atlanta, USA. Rebecca is an active member of the Toronto lighting design community, volunteering on the IES Toronto Section committee and as the Canadian Region Coordinator for the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD).
Daria is a Lighting Designer with fourteen years of Lighting Design consulting experience. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Mongolian Science University and specializes in Lighting Design with a passion for creativity along with solid technical knowledge. Prior to joining ALULA, Daria gained valuable experience working with industry leading Architects and designers on a series of cultural, community, and performing art projects such as Southeast Markham Community Center (Ontario), and YMCA/Wilfrid Laurier University Recreation Complex (Ontario). Daria also played a vital role on a number of award winning projects, including the Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Science (Texas), Mariinsky Theatre (St. Petersburg), and was the recipient of the 2016 IES Illumination Award of Merit for the Toronto Metropolitan University Student Learning Centre (Toronto).
Stephen has over ten years of experience in lighting design. Stephen received his Bachelors and Masters degree in Architecture from Carleton University - Azrieli School of Architecture & Urbanism. Prior to joining ALULA Lighting Design, Stephen gained valuable experience working in Ottawa as lighting designer on multiple governmental, commercial, retail, and historical projects.
Stephen is an active member for the International Association of Lighting Designers, volunteering his time as the Toronto Chapter Coordinator.
Bruna is a Lighting Designer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Brazilian San Francisco University.
Prior to joining ALULA, Bruna delivered countless successful projects in her native Brazil, in turn honing her invaluable technical skills and keen eye for design. Buna’s deep architectural understanding, creative problem solving skills, and passion for lighting design are key assets to ALULA’s design team.
Jack is a Lighting and Interior Designer with experience spanning various market sectors including residential, commercial, hospitality, landscape and architectural lighting design projects.
Jack graduated with a Diploma in Interior Design from Hong Kong Design institute, Hong Kong. Jack brings a designer‘s eye in his approach to lighting design, by considering both artistic and practical aspects of lighting, he is able to create spaces that are beautifully lit and highly functional.
