ALULA Lighting Design provided lighting design services for the renovation of the Lobby (approximately 9,800ft²) and Concourse Area (approximately 29,200ft²), including South Food court, North Food court, and Lower Concourse / QSR Corridor, at Simcoe Place in downtown Toronto.
Collaborating closely with Benoy (formerly GH+A), lighting for the project were designed to be architecturally integrated as much as possible in the intricate ceiling and wall cove design, providing an energetic sense of light for the below ground concourse food court area. Additional adjustable accents were used throughout to “punch” spots of light at dining area and architectural features to introduce an additional layer of sparkle to the space.
