ALULA Lighting Design provided lighting design for the Quinte Consolidated Courthouse, a project delivered through a DBFM contract and valued at approximately $247 million. The facility, designed by WZMH Architects, is targeted to achieve LEED Silver certification.
The six-storey courthouse boasts a total of fourteen courtrooms of various sizes, mandatory segregation of service pathways for prisoners, public and judicial services staff, prisoner holding cells in the basement, and an airlock vehicle discharge space for prisoners.
The project has received an Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Section Award and Award of Merit.
