Parkside Student Residence

ALULA worked with Diamond Schmitt Architects and Knightstone Capital Management to provide lighting design for this $25 million conversion of a 22-storey hotel into a new student residence. The project includes a full renovation of the exterior façade and three lowest floors, with a partial renovation of the rest of the building.

Set to redefine student housing in Toronto, the residence will offer state-of-the-art study spaces, all-day dining programs, a 24-hour fitness centre with private yoga space, free WiFi throughout the building, 24-hour concierge services, rooftop patio, public and private social and entertainment spaces, underground parking, bike parking, and an on-site bicycle repair station.

The project was awarded the Guth Interior Lighting Illumination Award at the Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Toronto Section Awards in 2017.
