Rebecca is a lighting design director with over Fifteen years of experience working in New York City and Toronto. With a Master’s Degree in Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, her specialized education and passion for art and design offer a unique blend of technical skills and design sensitivity that bridge the gap between art and science.
Rebecca’s impressive international portfolio includes high-end retail, commercial, institutional, residential and healthcare projects such as the Samsung Experience Store, Ryerson University Student Learning Centre*, Walt Disney Family Museum* (San Francisco), Gucci Fifth Avenue* (New York),and the City Garden* (St. Louis).
She is also the proud recipient of numerous lighting awards, including the 2014 IES IIDA Special Citation and Award of Merit for the Mariinsky Theatre* in St. Petersburg, Russia and the 2007 IES IIDA Award of Excellence for the Georgia Aquarium* in Atlanta, USA. Rebecca is an active member of the Toronto lighting design community, volunteering on the IES Toronto Section committee and as the Canadian Region Coordinator for the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD).
Andrenna has over 8 years of lighting design experience working for various prestigious firms in the UAE. She has proven experience in lighting design from concept design to construction. - designing projects in multiple sectors including high-end luxury hotels and resorts, mixed use environments, and retail. Andrenna completed her Bachelors of Arts at Manipal University and has acquired her Masters of Arts in design, management and policy from Lancaster University.
Saju is a Lighting Certified Architect with over 14 years of lighting design experience in the UAE. With a keen interest in the interplay between space, light and time, he strongly believes that light transforms spaces in exceptional environments and crafts memorable experiences. Saju has been a part of a research team at UAE University investigating façade lighting, street lighting, light pollution and dominant contrast, and has published in journals such as Leukos and Lighting Research and Technology. Saju’s extensive portfolio includes an array of projects in the hospitaly, retail, commercial, mixed-use, and sports and recreation sectors, in addition to infrastructure projects.
Stephen has over 4 years of experience in lighting design. Stephen received his Bachelors and Masters degree in Architecture from Carleton University - Azrieli School of Architecture & Urbanism. Prior to joining ALULA Lighting Design, Stephen gained valuable experience working in Ottawa as lighting designer on multiple governmental, commercial, retail, and historical projects.
Stephen is an active member for the International Association of Lighting Designers, volunteering his time as the Toronto Chapter Coordinator.
SealTel is an up and coming designer with a background in electrical design. A graduate of Humber College, SealTel has been on the fast path to making a name for herself. She has been participating on projects such as the Samsung Experience Store, Capital One, and University of Toronto Mississauga - Meeting Place. In June 2017 SealTel and her team secured the winning entry in the IES TORONTO EP DESIGN CHALLENGE.
Leah joins ALULA Lighting Team as a Lighting Design Intern – currently studying for her Masters of Architectural Lighting at Hochschule Wismar, Germany. She brings with her international Lighting Design experience, working in Sydney, Australia.
